Drive Hwy 97 to Quesnel, B.C., then 93km east on Hwy 26 to the town of Wells then east 27km on a gravel road to the park entrance.

What is the trip:
5,000 people a year travel the 116km canoe circuit in the Cariboo Mountains via 6 major lakes, a river, and several portages.

Safety:
6 emergency radios spaced through the route
no cell phone coverage.  Park operator has motor boat that makes a sweep every few days.

Views:
The Cariboo River is fast cold moving river without rapids but has corners and deadheads.
11m falls on Isaac River between Isaac Lake and McLeary Lake.
